I want a companion for my female crested.  The store has some with hair sticking up. How can I tell the difference between aby's and peruvians at 6 weeks of age. I've seen "texels" at the store, how long does their fur get. I don't want a piggy wiggy with maintenance, I use a "grooming stone" on mine @ 1 time per week, and she purrs.

The hair sticking up should be your Abbys.  The long straight hair will be your peruvians.  You should be able to tell as babies as they will look basicly the same.
