About the pig size

Question
I asked the question about the sizes of the newborn. Just as a side note my 2 year old has had babies before. Her bones are not fused together and the 10 week old one is perfectly healthy. I already talked to my vet and she said it was a normal age for them to be pregnant. She said anytime before 6 months is ok.

Thanks though

Answer
Hi Lindsay,

A guinea pig should be over 5 months of age before getting pregnant or over 500g. This is the ideal time for them to get pregnant, guinea pigs could have babies at 10 weeks but they are still babies themselves and breeding them at that age is very very cruel. I would reccommend to breed between 5-7 months of age. Hope this helps.
