I just got a guinea pig

Question
I have a baby guinea pig that I got from the pet store, after research I found that females should get another friend, so I got another female. So now I have 2 female baby guinea pigs around the same age, but from different litters. They tend to bite eachothers butts and noses, at first I thought they were fighting so I seperated them, but when I did they would "talk" to eachother and try to see the other through the cage.So they seem as if they miss eachother when they are seperated, but when they are together they chase eachother, bite eachother, and sometimes even make eachother sqeal. I don't really know if they are fighting or playing. I had a friend who told me that her guinea pigs did that and they were littler mates, and they were both females as well, but I also wanted to find out an experts opinion. So when my guinea pigs chase and bite eachother, and when I seperate them seem to "miss" eachother are they playing or fighting?
Thanks,
alexandra

Answer
As long as they are not physically hurting each other enough to cause bodily harm or injury, they should be fine.

Most of what they are doing is just playing, and trying to show each other they are they the dominant one. Unless they are to really fight each other, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hope this helps!
