Question
I have had a female pig for a year and decided to get another female pig. Everything was going great until the last few weeks...The older pig has been very agressive towards me if I try to touch the baby pig...Basically she bites  and draws blood...What can I do I LOVE  both pigs..I thought it wa a good decision to get her some company, but maybe not..

Thanks Nickki

Answer
Hi Nickki

Does the original pig seem to lunge at you when she bites or is it more nibbling that goes too far. What I mean is do you think she means to hurt you.

The only explanation I can think of is that she is jealous, particularly if you handled her a lot before.

One excersize you could try...Take the older pig out of her house and place her on the sofa etc. Then go get the other pig and have them both on your knee at once. This way you dont get biten because you take the older one out first but hopefully she will recognise there is no need to be jealous if you play with them both at the same time.

Good luck

Andy
