Swollen teet on my guinea pig

After cleaning and bath my pig I noticed he has s swollen teet(I hope this is the correct term).  It was swollen and soft a few days ago.  I have been keeping an eye on it it seems to still be red but hardening some, still swollen.  It doesn't seem to hurt him as he doesn't make any noises when I am checking him out. What can this be?

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. My mother is in hospital and I have been ill myself as well, so have been unable to check and answer questions for the past week.

It sounds like there may be a blockage in your pigs nipple. It may have also become infected (heat, swelling and crustiness usually indicate infection).

The best thing to do is to see your vet. Let him/her know what bedding you use, as this may have contributed to causing a blockage if it is the case.
