trimming nails

When we got our pigs at the pet store they said we needed to trim their nails, but on this website ie said you didnt...  SOOOOOOOOOO what do I do?

Answer
You need to trim their nails about once a month. If their nails are clear, you trim to the quick. I usually just clip the edges. If their nails are dark, you can shine a flashlight under to see the quick.
