Guineapig health

My guinea pig as a sort of scab just below his noes where the top of the opening part to his teeth are. H e won't let me touch around that area which is unlike him what do you thinks wrong with him and what can i do thanks

Hi Sarah,

I think he probably hurt himself there.  If he's only had it for a few days leave it alone for a few more days, it should heal up and be fine.  Just watch for improvement.  It there is stead improvement (like when you hurt yourself) it should be fine.  If he's had it for over 2 weeks or the injury doesn't show improvement take him to a veterinarian who treats guinea pigs.  Don't put anything on it without talking to a vet first.  Some medications, such as certain antibiotics can kill guinea pigs.

Once he's better, he should let you touch him there again.
