Mites and Lice

I own two guinea pigs. One is an abyssian guinea pig, while the other is a short haired agoutti. Is it more likely for the abyssian guinea pig to get mites and lice. I take them out in the summer-time to graze at 30 min. - an hour in length of time. Is this healthy?

    If the grazing does not seem to be making them sick, then yes it is ok.  Be sure that there is no pesticides sprayed on the grass, and that the sun is not shining directly on them to strongly.  This can cause heat stroke - and no, it is not more likely for the abby to acquire a parasite problem.
