Question
Hi, i have a 8 weeks rabbit and just got a 5 week old guinea pig, just wondering if you have any tips of getting them to bond.

Answer
Hi Nikki,
Guinea pigs and rabbits should never be housed together, and they should never live together either. They are two VERY different animals, and I get e-mails regularly from guinea pig and rabbit owners who thought it'd be ok to keep them together, but it ended up that the rabbits hurt the guinea pigs, or one of many other problems that arise when rabbits and guinea pigs are kept together.
Even the tiniest dwarf rabbits can be dangerous to guinea pigs, rabbits kick and stomp their back feet when they're expressing their emotions, which can severely injure a guinea pig.
Go to this website for more information http://guineapigcages.com/rabbits.htm .
My advice-adopt(rescuing is always the best thing to do) another guinea pig(the same sex as your 5 week old) and have them live together, your guinea pigs, and rabbit will be much, much happier, not to mention safer.
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions about this.
