Question
We bought a wonderful 8 week old guinea pig from a great pet store about a week ago.  We visited the store every night for a week to make sure we were getting the right pet.  Every time we visited, there was no poop or minimal poop in the cages.  Now that we have our "cupcake" home, it seems that there is more poop in the cage than there is food!  I clean it more than once a day as I am trying to train it to poop in the same spot, and I can't believe how much poop there is.  Is this normal?

Answer
yes, they are paid to clean out the cage at the pet store.
you can toilet train a guinea pig, but only really for pee, they have alot of difficulty controlling when they poop, but the poop is not really that bad, it is basically soil with the diet they have, so long as they have a good sized home you only have to clean them out twice a week.
