Flaky skin and hair loss

21 14:40:41

Question
My GP has lost some fur around her middle and the skin is flakey and tender. I have flea/mite powder and cream for it, but she won't let me touch her! She's quite friendly and never bites, but it's like she's really ticklish or afraid I'll hurt her. Do you think it could be something more serious? Also, I'm worried that I might be hurting her when I pick her up because she squeaks so loudly when I do! Please advise!

Answer
Is there another gp with her?  If so, they will eat each others hair.  Otherwise, I would act as if I was going to just pet her and get the meds on her.  If she won't let you do this or if it doesn't clear up, get her to a vet.  Gp's naturally squeak when something excites them or otherwise.  As long as you are handleing her gentlely she is probably fine.
