pig overlicking itself

Question
It seems that my pig is constantly licking its hands and chest area.  She is really wet and we thought maybe she threw up.  We gave her a bath and she seemed ok, but a few hours later she is wet again.  She is drinking and eating normally.  And she will walk all over the room if we let her out.  She doesn't act sick or walk funny.  I hope you could have an answer for us. thank you.

Well Guinea Pigs don't have the physical ablity to throw up, so you don't have to worry about that. It sounds like she is either drooling or draining her water bottle. I would get her to the vet to have her teeth checked, just to be on the safe side. However since she's eating ok, it's probably more likely that she's just playing with the water bottle when she drinks. Alot of piggies seem to enjoy draining the water bottles all down their chest and front legs until they are a dripping mess. Check out the cage and see if there is possibly a spreading wet spot that seems to be originating at the water bottle. Tooth problems are a very serious issue though, so it's still a good idea to rule them out now. It could save a world of trouble later. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
