QuestionHello,
My daughter has a 3 year old female Guinea pig that has developed a small, soft tumor on its hindquarters. It is hairless, black and about the size of a large grape. What should we do about this?
Thanks,
The Cavaness Family
AnswerDear Cavaness Family:
First, let me offer my most sincere apologies for the delay in my response. I run an older computer, and I have been having a lot of problems with my internet connection lately, so I have been tardy in answering your question. Please accept my apologies.
Now, as for your question. I would immediately take this animal to the vet. If the hair is falling out and you have swellings, there is a possibility that the tumor could be an indication of a greater problem. Have the animal checked out by a professional.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me. Good luck!
