Question
We are new to owning guinea pigs and have had two females for 3 weeks now and are loving it!!!
I am curious however as they both have red eyes and are approx 9 weeks old now.  Do the eyes change colour as they get older or will they stay red - in all books that I have looked in or pictures I have seen there are no red eyed guinea pigs!!!!  Please could you advise me further?   Thank you,  Jane.

Answer
Hi,
Don't worry about this because some guinea pigs have red eyes. I don't think that their eye colour will change. The most types of guinea pigs that have red eyes are self-colored whites known as albinos or a lilac self which is also a albino. Thanks for your question and I hope this is useful.
