Travel

Question
I need to travel to Pennslyvania this week. It is a 9 hour trip. I plan to take the guinea pig in his entire cage in the back seat (folded down) of my Ford Explorer Sport. My wife and daughter (the guinea pig's owner) are already there. If I don't take him, he will be left for 4 days with contact from my neighbor twice a day for 4 days. My question is....Is it safe to travel this way, for this long in this climate (cold!).

I'm terribly sorry that I've taken so long to respond--I hope I'm not too late!

It would probably be best to leave him, with the neighbor checking up. Leave an old rag, sock or cloth with him so he can cuddle up in it.
