Question
My girl, pig (Lily) sometimes hisses when she wheeks. I am not sure if this has to do with a male pig my boyfriend and I got about a month and a half ago? Is this a warning signal to let her be.... Not to sure what to do should i separate them or let them go and work it out on thier own.

Answer
Laura,

As long as they are not being aggressive towards each other, I would let them work it out. She is hissing when she wheeks cause she isn't use to another Guinea Pig being in the cage with her.

It'll take a little more time for her to get use having share a cage with someone else.

There is nothing really to worry about, as long as they are not being aggressive towards each other. Then just let them work it out, but once there is a sign of aggression due separate the as they can hurt each other.

Good Luck to you and I hope this helps.

       Take care now,
