Fleas?

Hello once again Josh.
MY guinea pig a a baldish patch of fur on her back. I looked inside and i saw some blackish stuff in it. I pulled it out and it wasnt moving. It looked like a peice of hay though. I sometimes see her nip that spot... What's happening??

Hello Mitch, there are many reasons for hair loss in guinea pigs.  Natural hair loss is nothing to worry about, but where you said she nips that spot so i am more inclined to think she may have mites, it is a good ieda to go to your vet, or call if you are short on funds and find out more about treatments, most shampoos you buy at the pet store are crap so it probably would be a good idea to get the advise from a professional.
