I have made a mistake

I just got my two guinea pigs on Saturday. They are 2 years old and they are sisters. They were settling in so well, and eating from my hand I decided to pick them up. Well, I made a horrible decision doing that. After I had done the two of them, they both went into their igloo, hiding and not coming out. I shook the bag of Timothy Hay to see if they would come out.....no avail. I got some cauliflower leaves and broke them up into small pieces which they took from my hand from inside their igloo. How can I regain their trust back? How can I make them trust me hold them? Please help,

I dont think you have made a mistake. You have done very well to get them to eat out of your hand after only a couple of days.

Its quite normal for a piggy to go hide after being out of their cage. Keep handling them gently each day and you will be fine.
