GUINEA PIG BABY NON-STOP SHREIK?WHEEK?

Question
story: baby guinea pigs were born on sept 17, on sept 18 i prepaid for one

on oct 4, i picked up BABY 1 & BABY 2 (LITTERMATES), NEXT DAY, i decided i wanted a HERD, so i went and picked out 1 more (BABY 3) but then finding it wasnt that much more work i opted to go with 4 (so that when they get older, i would have 2 per cage, my cage is 2x5 C&C with a 1x2 kitchen, i have a second 2x5 cage being built ON TOP of the first cage... ) anyways, the following day i went and picked up BABY 4, (baby 3 and baby 4 are littermates, but not littermates to baby 1&2) with me so far?

ok the mum guinea pig of baby 1&2 was about 1 year old, the shop i got her babies from dont care much for mum, shes old, not sell-able (as the owner of the store carries baby gp which sells fast, no one seems to want to buy the fully grown ones) as mum is the only female gp in the store, her only use is to be a breeding machine to make baby gp for that owner to sell,

on the night of oct 8, they put mum with a male gp. (same day as her babies were 3 weeks old) they took remaining unsold baby away from her

so on oct 9 i went in and negotiated for mum hoping for $5 ( but they wouldnt settle for less than $10, so i paid $10!)

i bring her home ( now up until this time, baby 1 (lets call her squeaker) was fine, cuddly quiet didnt bite!

after mum got home, sometime after 24 hours, i noted mum NURSED squeaker, and her sibling PUNKIN

ever since that day, whenever i pick up squeaker she SHRIEKS NON STOP SO LOUD U CAN HEAR IT THROUGH 2 DOORS) AND SHES SHRIEKS NON STOP LIKE WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK LIKE A CAR ALARM!)

IT DOESNT MATTER: IF I HOLD HER, PET HER, SIT HER ON MY LAP NOT TOUCHING HER, OR EVEN JUST LEAVING HER IN A BIN CAGE (I USE IT FOR TEMP HOLDING WHEN I CLEAN THEIR CAGE) IF I JUST SIT THERE, BESIDE HER BIN, SHE SHRIEKS NON STOP

now i noticed that if i put mum on my lap beside her she quiets down, and also if i stuff her nose under mum, she starts nursing, and if i then take mum away after shes done nursing, SQUEAKER once again shrieks non stop high pitch!

so therefore: im concluding: shes not hungry!

what is going on?

cuz im at the point where im ready to smack her, (seriously i wouldnt do that but im so frustrated)

and if i pet her? she nibbles my cloths and then proceeds to BITE, my thumb hand shes never bitten me on first nibble, she nibbles and next nibble is a bite, so its not out of fear, but why? none of my other baby girls do this, just her, and she was so sweet until mum came home and nursed her, and there are times where i feel like surrending her to a shelter cuz shes driving me nuts

so please tell me what am i doing wrong, cuz everthing was great until i let her nurse
her sister is doing great, she nurses too, shes quiet.... why does squeaker shriek?

Answer
It sounds like your little Squeaker was taken from his mom way too soon. He's crying for his mommy. The sow you brought home was not ready to wean her babies and that's why she's nursing Squeaker. The best thing you can do for both of them is leave her with those babies and let her nurse them and cuddle them. Everyone will benefit from that.

Babies don't just nurse to get their tummies full. They nurse to get comfort and security. They need that desperately.  Don't try to prevent either mom or babies from doing what is natural.

To remove the babies too soon is dangerous for the sow, especially if she's still lactating (producing milk). The danger is mastitis. The breasts become inflamed and infected and the sow can die from it. So the best thing you can do for all of them is to let her do what she needs to do and that's take care of those babies. She will wean them on her own when the time is right, then everyone will settle down and be happy.
