Baths

Question
I put olive oil on Ginger (my guineapig) because she had dry skin. And now she is soo oily should i give her a bath??
And where is the best place to buy hay? Or are you suppose to give to hay? What should i do:my guinea pig is getting a stomach should i worry?? what should i do??

Hello, you should try rubbing the oil off with a towel or giving her a bath wouldn't be such a bad idea if you already tried rubbing the oil off and stuff. The best place to buy hay is actually on a farm. That's no joke, the hay is fresher from a farm but considering most people can't go to a farm and get timothy hay, a pet store is generally better for people. Try to get the hay that looks freshiest. Make sure she had unlimited amounts of timothy hay. Your guinea pig getting a tummy is actually normal and they will get a little pot belly. :-) You are doing fine, but if the skin is dry and flakey, you might want to consider taking her to a vet as dry skin can sometimes mean mites. If she is scratching a lot and her skin is red then the vet is the best place to go. Also, a better diet can mean improved skin and fur.
