Question
We have recently adopted 2 little piggies from my neice and nephew.  They were in really bad shape when we took them in: thin, bald, starving and continuously doing this high pitch squealling.  We currently have them in the cage we were given which seems much to small for 2 pigs but do not have the space inside for anything bigger.  I would like to move them outside in a hutch and run for the summer and move them back in for the winter next year.  I have never had quinea pigs before and am wondering if they can be housed outside and the requirements I should have.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi!  Some people do house them outside.  However, I do not suggest it.  If they aren't accustomed to outside weather then they might not do well outside.  I would suggest going to www.cavycages.com and seeing if you can get an idea for a better cage from that site.
