brand new guinea pig

Andy,
We just adopted a baby guinea pig less than a week ago. She runs inside her little house whenever she sees us approach her cage. Does this mean she doesn't like us or our home; could she be missing her mom; is it just going to take her a while to warm up to us? I've never had a gp before, so I have no idea what to expect out of her behaviors.

Your pig is just a little scared. It will take her a while to get used to her new surroundings.
