Guinea pig doesnt like our new house

21 14:11:19

Question
We recently moved just across town to a bigger house. Our guinea pig, Tripod, lived in our bedroom in our old house and was very active and very talkative. He used to run up to us when we came in the room and squeak and buck every time he saw us or our dog. But since we've moved (it's been about three days) he hasn't come out of his pigloo except to eat and potty. He doesn't even come out when we bring him veggies. He hasn't squeaked a word. He's now living downstairs in the living room, but is in his same cage. Is there anything we can do to cheer up our little companion or make him feel more at home in our new home?

Answer
Hi Kati

First of all, Tripod is such a cool name!

I think you just need to give him a little time. My 3 piggies are a little subdued after I had to change their hutch recently but are returning to normal a bit now. As long as he is eating fine then I think its just a matter of time.
