Guinea Pig Birth

Question
QUESTION: How long after a female guinea pigs milk comes do they give birth? Its 3 days overdue, and she has milk now.

ANSWER: Hello Jessica!
I am not quite sure what you are reffering to.
Guinea pig females are like human females, as the pregnancy goes there breasts produce milk and open up at the nipples. Your guinea pig is sick if milk is coming out without a baby sucking on her.
Also guinea pigs dont have due dates as nobody can ever tell when a womans 'due date' really is. I am pregnant now and my 'due date' is June 14th, but I doubt the baby will come exactly on that day.
I am sorry if this didnt help, but if you want further help please send a follow-up and re-phrase you question so I know exactly what you are asking. I would love to hear back from you.

QUESTION: I mean like when her milk comes, how long after that will she have her babies? I read somewhere that the milk doesnt come until she eats the afterbirth, but is that true? And if its not when your guinea pig had milk come in how long was it before she had babies?

Answer
Hello Again!
I have no clue where u read that but dont trust that site/paper again!
When the female becomes impregnated they start to produce milk. She will have her babies, and life will go on. The question 'when her milk comes, how long after that will she have her babies?' doesnt come into the picture because it is false.
For now, just enjoy her being large and lumpy and wait.
