Hi i have had my two guinea pigs for two yrs. now and they are brother and sister this morning when i went to go chek on them outsides one was death and the other was ying next to to her. I took snowball inside while i burried his sister. When i came back inside i noticed that snow ball wasnt acting normal he wasnt running around but instead he was just hiding in a corner i also cleaned his cage gave hime new food and water and brought the cage inside i put him in his cage but he was still sad and wouldnt even eat his lettuce like he usally does. Im very worried and was wondering if he was going to be ok? Is theis noral? Do they mourn echothers deaths?is there anything i could do??

Firstly, I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Its totally natural for a guinea pig to mourn the loss of their friend, just like we would do. The problem is that piggies may not eat for an extended period of time which can cause health problems.

You need to keep your eye on Snowball and if he continues to be withdrawn you will either need to spend lots of time with him yourself but also consider getting him a new friend.
