1 guinea pig or 2?

Hello,
 My guinea pig recently passed away. In a few months I will like to buy another guinea pig. My first guinea pig lived alone (i mean no guinea pig friends) and was very very bonded to me. I am thinking of getting 2 guineas next time. Will they still bond with me if they have each other? My first guinea pig would follow me around, sit on my lap, etc.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you had many happy years together!

Definitely get two piggies. Try to get littermates if you can, and make sure they're the same gender. The best place to find guinea pigs is at an animal rescue - they often have pregnant females brought in so are always trying to rehome the babies. Your piggies will be much happier if they have a piggy friend to chat to when you're not there. And don't worry, they'll still bond with you. They might be even more sociable than a single piggy as they'll be more used to interaction!
