Guinea Pig noises

Hi,

My guinea pig is making a very loud squealing noise. I cleaned his cage and when i put him in he did it...I am not sure why could you please help? And now he is crawling into a blanket...every time i try to pull him out to put him in his igloo thing...He squeals and scratches me...I dont know what is wrong with him I am VERY worried :-\

Thank you so much for your nice comments, it means a lot.

It all depends on exactly what sound he is making. Some pigs make a loud wheek noise to show their excitement at new beddings to run around in. Otherwise he may be unhappy at having to go back into his house after having some freedom outside of it.

He obviously likes playing in the blanket which is why he is telling you he doesnt want to come out of it.

I dont see any reason why you should be worried based on what you have told me, but if anything else crops up that concerns you, please be sure to let me know.
