want a buddy for current guinea pig

My husband and I adopted our guinea pig from a local shelter.  We
hold him and play with him daliy, but I havd heard that they get
along better in pairs.  Is there truth to this and is it too late to add
another one --he has been in his own space since March.

It isn't too late to add a buddy. I recommend having a large enclosure (www.guineapigcages.com) and adding a younger male if yours is an adult or vice versa.
