Pregnant Guinea Pig with wet chin

Question
I am almost my guinea pig is pregnant and ready to deliver soon.  About 2 weeks ago, I realized she had gotten really large and low and behold our other guinea pig, whom we thought was a gir, is actually a boy.  She's seemed fine, however today I noticed her chin was REALLY wet and she has a bad odor; almost like wet dog or wet clothes that have sat wet and crumpled up somwhere.  I did not have her out of the cage yesterday, but I did have her out 2 days ago and she did not have this.  I have been trying to limit my interaction with her as I am sure is ready to deliver soon.

I have read all about what the wet chin COULD indicate, and it seems scary, especially since my pig is pregnant, however I am wondering (and hoping) if this might be something that happens before delivery?  I also must mention that I started giving them "Orchard Grass" last weekend and I have been givig it to her everyday.  The other pig eats the grass, and he is fine, but I have stopped giving it to them just in case.  I had previously been giving them the "Timothy Hay."

Any thoughts on the wet chin?  I looked in her mouth to try to see if I could tell if anything was going on with he teeth, but as far as I can see. they look fine. :(

I am very scared for this pig!  Any advice would be wonderful

Answer
Dear Lauren

Can you smell something nasty near her mouth?
Is she having trouble eating?
I know you looked at ther teeth but guinea pigs can get spurs on their back teeth which makes it very painful to eat and so they dribble a lot.
If she IS NOT eating normally this would indicate a problem and she needs to go to the vet to be checked over. She needs to be eating well if shes about to give birth. Good luck and try not to worry
