re bonding after separation.

My guinea pigs have been separated for 1 week because one was doing shows. I am not sure quite how to reunite them. we cleaned the cage and put them in one at a time but they are mounting a lot. I am not sure if they are happy to see each other because there is a lot of purring and teeth chattering as well.

give them a little time, mounting is normal, perhaps a bath, shared box in a car, it shouldnt be too hard to get them back in the swing of being together, a little fear will help them bond. what i would recommend is next time you do a show keep them together, only seperate them during the actual show.
