Guinea pig teeth problems

21 13:47:29

Question
We have three guinea pigs and one of them appears to have a slight cut on his lip. However, the gum around his top teeth is a bit red, and also his top teeth appear to both have what looks like a tooth root visible ie the tooth appears to be split into two visible parts; a root near the gum and then the actual incisor. Is this normal, or might he have some form of gum disease/damage to his teeth?

Answer
No that does not at all, it could be that he has been attacked by other guinea pigs, or that he has a disease or some other alement alltogether, I should imagine it is perfectly treatable though so i would ecommend getting him to a vet, the sooner it is seen the less damange and more treatable it is.

best of luck
