pregnant guinea pigs and no males?

hey, ive got 3 guinea pigs, all believed to be female and had them all since mid december. Now one is heavily pregnant and possibly the other two are aswell, ive taken them to the local pet shop and he said they are all female and mentioned about the female guinea pig having the ability to store sperm over winter, is this true?

I have not heard much of this before but i have known cases of it
It is most likely true
Which is quite amazing
The winter must have been cold
