pregnant female

I rescued a female and did not know she was pregnant. I asked the owners and they said she was about 10 months, maybe 12. I asked Clare and Blair 2 weeks ago and got good results. The babies have been moving about 3 weeks. I took her to a Guinea pig vet last Tuesday, and she said she should have the babies in 2 to 3 days. Her pubic bone is only about 1/4 inch separated. Her stomach has got very hard, and the vet said there is 3 or 4 babies. The babies have settled down and aren't as active, but she is huge. This is her first litter. She is doing great. Wants attention all the time and I spend about 2 hours a day with her. She is eating well and is not in pain. It took a while for me to feel the babies moving last night. But after a while I felt the feet thumbing, etc. I can feel the whole bone structure of them. Is there a pause of calmness with the babies before she goes into labor? Should I call the vet and ask more questions. I use to raise guinea pigs 20 years ago. I have always tried to have one as a pet. Brie is very unusual. She is more friendly than any pet I've ever known. Never runs away and always queeks when she hears my voice. Her cage is 5 X 5 foot, so plenty of room.        THE FIRST LITTER SHOULD NEVER BE HAD AT THAT AGE, BUT MAYBE YOU WIL GET LUCKY.  THE PELVIC BONES USUALLY FUSE AT 7 MONTHS OF AGE, AS THEY WILLNOT SPREAD TO THE FULLEST.  I WOULD TAKE HER TO THE VET AND HAVE HIM SEE HER AND CHECK THE FUSION AND IF THE PIGS ARE IN ANY DISTRESS.  SHE WILL GO INTO LABOR AND SUFFER TRYING TO GET THEM OUT, BUT THE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET THROUGH THE BIRTH CANAL, AND SHE WILL DIE AND THE BAIES TOO.  IF THE CASE IS THEY DO PASS THEM GIVE HER PLENTY OF SUGAR WATER, AS I WOUDL DO IT NOW.  IT PREVNETS TOXEMIA TO HER AND THE BABIES,  PUT GATORADE IN THE WATER BOTTLE.  MINE DRINK THE BLUEBERRY,  KEEP THIS UP FOR 2 WEEKS,.  PUT A BOTLLE LOW ENOUGH FOR THE BABIES TO GET TO, SO KEEP 2 IN THE CAGE.  FEED EXTRA VEGGIES AND FRUIT.  ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK.  IT DOES TAKE 65 TO 78 DAYS TO DELIVER, NOT MORE.
