Guinea pig died

Question
Hello,
I had 3 guinea pigs 1 male and 2 females at the age of 1.5 years.
They were living together in harmony.
Now one of the females had died and my question is if it would be right to bring a new guinea pig, which will be a lot younger (probably few weeks old). And if it is ok - which gender would be the best to choose in this case.
I would like them to keep living in harmony with the new guinea pig.

Many thanks for you answer!

Answer
oh course, providing your male is neutered, if he is then you have my preferred set up a neutered male with a harem.

a younger female is best, the newcomer is expected to be suborinate to the originals and younger piggies tend to accept this better.

never pick a male, no two males can live together with females, they will kill each other.

of course you cannot just pop a new piggy in, you would have to go through the new introduction methods, 99 out of a hundred times they will all live in harmony and be happier for each other i would certinaly recommend it.
