Breathing!

Hi, I was wondering whether you could help me. I think i am worrying over nothing but this morning i heard my Guinea Pig make a noise i had never heard before. She was still doing her usual squeaking and is definitely not off her food :-) but beforehand it was more like a very nasal squeak/grunt. It wasn't constant, so i know it's not her breathing. It's hard to describe but it was very quiet, gentle grunting i think. Any advice would be great! Thanks x

Lots of guinea pigs make different squeaks this one may mean that your guinea wants to be left alone for a while. Try not to take him out every moment of the day. Of course still hold and play with him but do not hug him tightly as this may be what he is squeaking about. He may have a throat infection so monitor him carefully over the next few days and if there is any change consult your vet if you are worried.
