Question
Hi, this is not the first time am writing actually. I just wanna find out what's wrong with my guinea pig. I wash their crate often and I give them proper food for example wheat, hay, pellets and so on........but this morning, I found one of my female guinea pigs has hair loss around the leg.....and mucus coming out of the nostrils.....wot's wrong with her? could it be flu? wot should I give her? I'm taking her to the vet later but I doubt that helps coz the vet has no experience with guinea pigs before.......wot advice?

Here is my number one suggestion.  If your vet has no experience with guinea pigs, find one that does, then take her to him right away.  A guinea pig with discharge can potentially be very ill.  I would also separate her out of your herd and keep her by herself until you're sure that what she has isn't contagious.

Hope this is helpful.  If you have any questions, please feel free to write me again.  Good luck!
