open wounds

Question
If a topical treatment for mange is applied to a scab could that cause iritation to the wound. Our GP is being treated for mange and had something swabbed on (appearently its the same thing used for sheep but more dilute). Now he is scratching a lot and has caused what was an old scab to be an open wound, and obviously painful. I'm taking him back to the vet, but I'm keen to know what you think.

those are two links that can help you find mosr vets in your local area. mange can be very hard to take care of, i suggest calling some other vets for their opinion.
