Answer
Hello Rachel

How big do i need for my growing guinea pig pup she is a female and about 6 months old? could you give me a little more info on this question then I will be able to anwser it, thanks.:)

Well at around six months of age they are normaly full grown but some will get a bit larger after this age. She should get to be about ten inches long (maybe a little less some females are smaller then others). She should also get to be one or two pounds some are more some are less. Be sure her cage is at lest two feet long, wide and tall bigger is always better. Also if you only have one guinea-pigs its best to give her a cardboard box to hide in and chew on, some cat jungle balls, some rabbits toys, tolite paper tubes and brown paper bags with holes cut in them. Also be sure you let her out of her cage a few times a week for exercise, you can ameka  maze out of boxes, large malling tubes, large pvc pipes and even plastic drier hoses! Offer bricks for her to climb on and chew blocks to nibble, give her some plasic and brown paper bags to tunnle under just be sure she doesn't eat the plastic items but it is ok for her to nibble the paper bags and boxes. Take a flower pot and cut a hole in the side for a hiding place you can also make stairs going up to the top of the flower pot using bricks so she can sit on top. Take her out onto your lab and brush her (this is a great time to check for lice). Allow her to try new foods such as parsley/water-melon/apple/oranges/lettuce/cabbage/kiwi/grapes/straw-berrys/bran/oats/qucumber/bannana/carrot/bread and even raspberrys, you have to try a few different things before you find your guinea-pigs fave one(s). You can give your guinea-pig a stuffed animal to cuddle with or a ferret hammock to sleep in (make sure its low to the ground so she can get in). Guinea-pigs can be great pets if you give them the right care and a few fun things to do, and if you do that right then you will have a great pet for the newt 4/6 years.

Hope this helps if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
