Question
My guinea pig has a small lump in her ear. Do you know what this could be?
Is like a small spot under the skin.

Answer
Hi Julie,

I have honestly never heard of a lump on the inside of a guinea pig's ear before.
Lumps that occur in guinea pigs are usually abscesses, lipomas, cysts, mammary tumors, and trichofolliculoma.  However, abscesses occur around the jaw area, cysts can develop in the ovaries or on the under side of a guinea pig,  trichofolliculoma is a cyst that develops along the back and flank, and tumors are found in mammary glands - generally in any place of an organ or tissue in the body.

I suggest that you consult a veterinarian that is experienced with guinea pigs if the lump seems to be dangerous.

Thank you for your question, I hope I have been of some help to you.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Good luck with your guinea pig (=
