new bonded female piggies not eating

Question
I just brought home two female guinea pigs and they do not come out of their hidey house.  They have not eaten or drank water in about 7.5 hours.  Is this normal?? I have picked them up a couple of times to pet them and they seem fine-(no noises) Searching the web I found something about guinea pig anorexia...how common is it really??
Please Help!

Its totally normal for new piggies to be very scared of their new home. I just got a new pig and he was just the same.

You need to give them at least 24 hours to settle.

PS Anorexia is not a very pig-related illness as pigs love eating and if they arent eating (apart from in your situation) its usually the sign of a related health problem.
