baby pig being still and sitting in corner

Question
We got 2 4 month old baby pigs today. One is fine but the other, which was the runt, is really small and sits in the corner of the cage a lot. He also seems to tilt his head and his whole little body will twitch. Mostly he sits quietly. He also seems to have bad balance.Do we need to take him to the vet? They are super clean and the store assured us they were both healthy. We've had them just a few hours.

Answer
Yes i would take him to the vet and his brother asap it sounds like he has head tilt (seriously thats its nickname). unfortunately if it is that then there is a very low chance of him survivng. there are a few reasons why it might occur but usually it has to do with mites deep in the ear hole, i would take both to the vets, it is possible that the other might have the early stages, which is much more treatable.

I am sorry that i cannot give any better news, hopefully it wont be head tilt but something with a higher sucess rate

good luck.
