skinny gp

i am baby sitting a sick pig, it got over what ever it was (it was like diarrhoea)but now it is skinny and lossing some hair. the gp is around 6 months old she did have a friend but died before coming to me.

I'm sorry to hear your guinea pig has been ill.  I have one question for you -- has it been to a vet?  If not, I would take it to one immediately.  Hair loss, while sometimes not so important, can be a sign of a VERY serious illness.  I would have the guinea pig's health checked out immediately, if you haven't already.

If he just needs to regain weight, you can do that easily by feeding him regular amounts of food.  His body will quickly pick up the weight again.  Be careful not to feed him too much, because he can become ill from too much food.  You can try to tempt him, too, with small amounts of foods like carrots, green peppers, and cucumbers.
