Palpitating

Our guinea pig is palpitating, is this a bad sign and why would sh be doing this? We have had her over a week with a week older guinea pig and she is much smaller, could the guinea who is older be scaring her?

Ok, what exactly do you mean by palpitating? Shivering? She may just be scared...Guinea pigs are nervous animals by nature...she needs to be held more often...guinea pigs are herd animals, and they like to be kept with other guinea pigs...so I doubt it is the older guinea pig...
