Mute Piggy?

A few weeks ago I purchased an abyssinian male-he came from the pet store with a bad cold but after lots of vitamin C and love he's better.  My only concern is that he doesn't make noise.  I've had guinea pigs before and they were always pretty noisy-either squealing or purring about something but he doesn't make any noise.  Could he be mute or could there be something else wrong?

Hello. I've never heard of a mute cavy, but I'm not going to say it is impossible. Do you have a vet that you take your piggies too regularly? If you do, I suggest making an appointment with them. It could be the cold irritated the little ones throat and it needs additional meds. I wish you lots of luck.
