getting used to me

im trying to get my guinea pig used to me but he wont let me i try to reach in to pick him up but he runs away and i try to let him sniff my hand to get to know e but he wont do it! help?

You really have to scoop him up and hold him for several minutes at a time everyday. It takes patience and lots of time. Guinea Pigs are naturally very afraid of people and so it will take a while for him to get used to you. You just need lots of patience. Pet him and hold him and speak softly to him, try not to make sudden moves when you hold him as that will scare him
