guinea pig genders

Question
how can I find out if my guinea pig is a boy or a girl? I have 2 guinea pigs and one them eats more and is a lot bigger. I was told by someone that they were both girls but I'm not sure.

hello, well i think it's pretty easy to sex the guinea pigs once you have pictures that show you the difference. Some piggies are going to be bigger and weigh more just because. the way you can tell is by looking at their genital areas and if you gently part the genital opening of a female you should see a "Y" shape. If you press at the genital parts gently and a penis extrudes it's a male.
