My guinea pig seems like its going to diee!!!

Hi,

My name is Amanda and I know you just answered this question but that answer doesnt help me. My guinea pigs name is Princess and ive had for about 3-4 years. She is getting crusty stuff in her eyes and nose. She wont eat or drink anything. She just nibbles at her food and then walks away. She hardly even movies either. And when she does move its really sloww!  Her eyes are always half wayy shut! It just seems like she could die any minute! I dont see how giving her yogart will help if she wont go near any food. I gave her lettuce and carrots and also alfalfa. My mom checked her out and said that theres nothing we can do and that shes not looking good. And I asked her if we could take her to the vet and she said that the vet wont be able to do anything about old age because they normally dont live this long. Ive been balling my eyes all day and ive been spending every minute I could with her. Please help me!!

I dont remember the answer you refer to. I certainly didnt tell anyone to give yoghurt to a piggy.

Anyhow. 3-4 years old is not old age really for a piggy, they can live up to 8 years, but 5-6 is average.

The best thing you can do is to consult a vet as there is every chance he might be able to help princess. Whilst she is not eating or drinking, she will fade away so professional help is needed quickly.
