Question
Since you are a Boston lover and have helped me in the past I thought I would ask you this question. I have a pair of BTs. The female is the standard black and white, however the male is the "non traditional" red and white. There 1st litter of puppies contained a little female that was as red as any BT I have ever seen but by the time she was 8 weeks old she was a chocolate brindle. There is brindle in the mother's pedigree. Have you ever had BT puppies change color? I have another litter and I have several brindles in this litter. This was an oops!!! litter. I had not intended to breed her but my grandchildren let them both out into the yard at the same time. Next heat cycle the male will be boarded during the critical time LOL. My girl has large litters. 10 pups last time and 8 this time. Thanks for the help in advance.

Answer
Hi. Actually, it's pretty comoon for pups to change their color. Sometimes, they will look dark at birth and lighten up, or be light at birth and then darken up. It happens. This is why I don't fill out the puppy registration papers until they are ready to go home. lol
