ovulation?

we bred our female 7 times over a 9 day period. everytime my male got inside her, she wouldn't make the lock. we ended up doing a.i.s (5) but no pregnancy. did we miss it or did she not ovulate? someone told me she won't make the lock if she's not ovulating. if that was it, what would be the cause of no ovulation? thank you!

Timing is the number one reason that a female doesn't take.

Breeding 7 times over 9 days is great BUT what day did you start the breeding?  Was day was she in her season?  How old is she? Is this your first attempt with her?  

With AI's was the equipment you used sterile?  Did you keep the sperm free from contaminants?  Was the male tested? Is he a proven male?

All would contribute to not having a successful pregnancy.
