Answer

Hi Hassan,

A dog is a social animal which needs the company of it's owner or a human family. They depend on us for much more than just food and shelter, they depend on us for companionship.

Getting a second dog (or a puppy) is not the solution to your problem. All a second dog will achieve is that you will then have TWO dogs that aren't getting the correct amount of attention. A dog (of any breed) needs attention, affection, mental stimulation, and that needs to come from YOU. A second dog is not a substitute for the human contact.

As though getting a second dog wasn't bad enough for a person in your situation, getting a Husky is a particularly bad breed for you to be considering. They require vigorous exercise everyday.
Left alone too much, or not exercised enough or given correct amount of mental activity, you can expect this breed can be incredibly, and massively destructive, which can include howling when bored or left alone.

I suggest you rededicate yourself to making the time for your current dog. If you can't do that, maybe it's time to consider finding a loving home where your dog will receive the attention he needs, and deserves.

Best of luck,

Patti
